The problem
Field activity invisible to the office.
Field teams were dispatched on jobs with no real-time visibility back to the office — attendance was tracked on paper, work completion was reported the next day, and dispatchers had no clear picture of who was on which site.
What we built
Shift management, attendance, activity log.
- Mobile app for field employees on company-provided devices.
- Voluntary shift start / end with attendance log.
- Job assignment and status updates back to the office in real time.
- Photo / note capture per job (proof of work).
- Manager dashboard with team status, attendance, and activity reports.
- Push notifications for new jobs and shift reminders.
A note on consent
Built around voluntary employee participation.
The app is installed on company-provided devices and used by employees who voluntarily log in to start their shifts. It is a workforce management tool, not covert surveillance — transparency to the people using it was part of the brief from day one.
Outcome
Real-time field visibility, less paper.
Dispatchers see job and team status in real time. Attendance and activity reports come out of the system instead of weekly spreadsheets.
